Oscar Fashion Favorite: Kate Winslet in YSL
Ah, YSL and Kate Winslet...quite the dynamic duo. At first glance I wasn't so sure but I like this girl so much that if she wore a burlap sack to the Oscar's I'd be bragging about it today! I think this is definitely one of those dresses that shows better in person. The asymmetrical design showed well enough on camera but I don't know that you could truly appreciate the embroidered silk overlay unless you could really see it close up. Here is a better shot of the detail.
Top it off with the beautifully accessorized YSL sandals and clutch in addition to the Chopard diamonds and you have my favorite look of the night. It really was close though between Kate and my second favorite Freida Pinto in John Galliano.
